An artist's website; a digital platform composed of three chapters that unfold themes, concepts and visualities of Thiago Martins de Melo's work, conceived in collaboration with writer and curator Germano Dushá and graphic designer Raul Luna, under the collective signature of Indústrias do Brasil. Each of the three works was created specifically for the project, revisiting a decade of the artist's trajectory and opening new paths in the face of the urgency of an unprecedented moment. In an epic sweep whose historical range is undefined by nature, the works elaborate and sew, always in a multidimensional way, narratives, symbols and temperatures of the socio-political reality of Brazil, Latin America and the world. Crepuscular refers to animals that are active primarily during dusk. In this time of extremes and debacles, marked by the color purple and the blurred vision typical of radical uncertainty, the idea of ​​a beast that inhabits the abyss of transitions serves as an anti-icon for the enigma of the turning point. It swallows the state of mind of the darkness that is always printed on the back of the lights that illuminate the portal of a new century.

The project gathers unpublished or rethought materials, transversing different genres, themes, researches and experimentations to explore the possibilities of a digital gig. Under the lights and shadows that regulate our urgencies and aspirations, Genesys→2021 is driven by the desire to navigate through aesthetic manifestations that reverberate, in multiple formats (tracks, soundtracks, mixes, visual sets, improvisations, editions and WhatsApp audios), aspects of a certain energetic density that marks the enigmatic arrival of the 2021.

Multimedia exhibition resulting from the first edition of a 5-year project for promoting cultural heritage in dialogue, dubbed “HerMap Art Projects”. Organized as annual residencies for artists working between Iran and Europe, the first edition developed seven digital-based projects by 12 artists and collaborators, focusing on the industrial heritage and living archives of Iran. 

In their own way, the projects explore a multifaceted landscape of sound and image that unfold space-time experiences, approaching and contributing to the notions of heritage, be it related to reflections, re-uses and re-activations around the history of Iran’s first cement plant or to the idea of living archives. Specifically, the projects tap into issues like the future of space ownership, the possibilities of a new digital geography, the practices of correspondence and dislocation, or the co-existence of human and non-human perceptions — weaving a plural perspective of intercultural connections.

Digital platform developed for the biennial event based in Vevey (Switzerland), foodculture days, for the Chapter 2 of the 2020/2021 edition — entitled “From the forests’ ashes”.  foodculture days program is dedicated to exploring biorelations and multiple functions of food between individual choices, systemic practices and the global environment. Due to the restrictions of the pandemic context, the edition was held in a hybrid format between on site activities, the digital display of art projects, and an online open dialogues program.

Focused on the 18 participants' projects, the website worked as the main platform for presenting or exhibiting their works, and also brought the schedule of the online social program and all the institutional information. As highlights, two hypermedia projects, with specific dynamics and navigation experiences, were developed from scratch for artists Iagor Peres (When the matter is gone) and The Soft Protest Digest (Headwaters / Water extraction: our resource and their milieu).

Digital musical edition by Novas Frequências for the In/Out Festival 2021 with new tunes from a collaboration between Deafbrick (Brazil/UK), Duma (Kenya) and Simon Grab (Switzerland). Developed as a first person 3D gamified experience, Roam is a meta-labyrinth: a maze scattered with 12 tracks, to be found as activation sound spheres; and dozens of references taken from cinema, poetry, visual arts, philosophy, society, popular culture and mythology selected by Chico Dub and Natalia Lebeis (Novas Frequências, Brazil), to be found as ordinary, yet iconic, floating objects.

Terra and Temperature is an exhibition that took place between June and August of 2021, in São Paulo. The project brings together almost 90 works by more than 30 artists from different times, regions and practices to address aspects of the Brazilian social imaginary through multiple perspectives. Based on a diverse set of paintings, drawings, sculptures and objects, the group show proposes a non-linear journey, free of predefined path, that puts into dialogue universal issues manifested in their most local and singular forms. 

Streaming platform for Mercurio [m/fm], a label created by Vitor Araújo, thought to serve as an outlet for experimental productions by the artist, in addition to being a means of exposing his creative processes and working as a device for investigating methods of collaborations towards more open works.

MEXA debates the distances and proximities between life and art, politics and aesthetics, the street and the museum. These abysses and the possibilities of building connections are, in themselves, their material of interest and creation. This performance, entitled "The more we rehearse, the worse it gets", is an attempt to build a work collectively within an established time frame and happens in two parts: in the first, the group raises the themes of interest and the embryos of the scenes, and discuss on how to organize the presentation; in the second, the collective presents what they have decided to keep as the proper work. The platform created to embrace the piece proposes an immersive situation with the atmosphere common to the group's appearances, and in which with the videos that document both moments are shown facing each other, in a way they can be played together, or individually.
